Trivandrum, July 11 (ANI): Nagaland Governor Vakkom Purushothaman resigned from post on Friday after he was transferred from Mizoram on Sunday. Purushothaman has claimed that he was not consulted regarding his transfer as the Governor of Mizoram to Nagaland. Purushothaman has sent across the resignation letter to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Purushothaman had come down heavily on the NDA government for nudging Governors appointed by the UPA government to resign so as to make way for their appointees.
