Itanagar, Feb 1 (ANI): A dispute over eviction from encroached land in Sonitpur district in Assam turned violent, killing ten people and inuring 12 others on January 29. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Nabam Tuki, condemned the killings. The Chief Minister directed the chief secretary, the Director General of Police (DGP) and home commissioner to ensure every possible step to defuse the tension. The state government also dispatched teams in the disputed area to take stock of the situation.
