Television actor Arjun Bijlani, whose last stint on the supernatural show, "Naagin," gained him massive popularity and made him viewers' favourite, will soon be seen in another fantasy series. The actor has apparently been taken on board in Ekta Kapoor's "Kawach" where he will be seen essaying the role of a genie.

According to the Times of India, Arjun's character will help Paridhi (Mona Singh) rescue her husband Rajbir (Vivek Dahiya) from the clutches of Manjulika (Sara Khan).

"Arjun will play Aryan, a Casanova who has women swooning over him. He enters the show as Paridhi's (Mona Singh) saviour. He helps her to catch Manjulika (Ssara Khan) and more later. Her husband Rajbir (Vivek Dahiya) gets jealous of Aryan and suspects him of being romantically involved with her. But the reality is that they are just friends. Unfortunately, jinns are not allowed to have relationships with humans," a source associated with the show told the daily.

Meanwhile, Arjun is a part of the reality dance show, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" and had stunned the audience as well as the judges with his powerful act in the opening episode, despite having suffered a leg injury during the rehearsals.

In other news, "Kawach," which was launched in June, is apparently going off air soon. The makers have reportedly planned to end the show owing to the low Television Rating Points (TRPs).

It was reported that "Kawach" would be replaced by the second season of "Naagin." The Mouni Roy-starrer "Naagin 2" was supposed to be launched in October but due to the lacklustre performance of "Kawach," Colors channel has decided to launch "Naagin 2" one month ahead of its scheduled date.
