Colors' "Naagin" came to an end with a dramatic climax on Sunday, June 5 and while fans of the supernatural show are disappointed with their favourite show drawing its curtains, it has been revealed that the next instalment of the supernatural show will go on air in October.

Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors channel, took to his Twitter handle to announce that "Naagin 2" will be back in October. In fact, the teaser of the Season 2 is out already. The promo features lead actress Mouni Roy and a new cast, whose identity has not been revealed in the video.

It was reported that the new season will see Mouni as Shivanya (Mouni) and Rithik's (Arjun Bijlani) daughter. There were reports that popular actor Nandish Sandhu had been roped in for the new season as Vikram Bhanupratap Singh. Aashka Goradia, who essayed the role of Ichchadhari Madhumakhi on the first season, would play a key role in Season 2.

"Naagin" created a record of sort by ruling the Television Rating Charts (TRP) throughout the season. Talking about the success of the supernatural show, Mouni had told the Times of India: "Every song ends, but it doesn't mean that you don't enjoy it while it's playing. It was a roller-coaster ride. The show was tough, but the returns have been big."

"Naagin" will be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's new show "Kavach," which will go on air from June 11 onwards. The show has popular actress Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" fame and Maheck Chahal in key roles. "Kavach" is a finite series and will revolve around Mona's character, who will goes to any extent to protect her husband from the spirit of his ex-lover.
