After the record-breaking success of "Naagin," the makers of the show are gearing up for the second season of the supernatural show, which will hit the screens in September. While fans of the show have been eagerly waiting for it to go on air, speculations regarding the cast have been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

It has been reported that Mouni Roy would continue to be the protagonist. Latest reports now say that Adaa Khan, who played the role of Sesha, has also been signed up for the new season. Adaa, who impressed the audience with her acting skills in "Naagin," will be seen as a venomous and vindictive naagin in the new season, the Times of India reported.

A few month ago, the teaser of "Naagin 2" was released, and it featured lead actress Mouni and a new cast, whose identity was not revealed in the video.

"Naagin 2" would apparently see Mouni as the daughter of Shivanya (Mouni's character) and Rithik (played by Arjun Bijlani). Rumour has it that Arjun will not join the cast of the next instalment. The makers had reportedly approached Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame to play the male lead role opposite Mouni.

Also, Aashka Goradia, who essayed the role of Ichchhadhari Madhumakkhi on the first season, would play a key role in Season 2. The buzz is that popular actor Nandish Sandhu had been taken on board as Vikram Bhanupratap Singh for the new season.
