Sushant Singh Rajput, who rose to popularity with television show Pavitra Rishta, is back on the small screen, but this time to promote his upcoming film, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The actor will soon be seen making an appearance on Zee TV's top show, Kumkum Bhagya.

Sushant has already shot for the episode, along with the show's lead actor, Shabir Ahluwalia aka Abhi. According to the Times of India, Sushant will be seen playing the role of Abhi's friend. He will meet Abhi at his music company and will try to resolve issues between Abhi and Pragya (Sriti Jha), who are not on talking terms after the blunder at the music launch. Sushant will also ask Abhi to watch MS Dhoni:The Untold Story.

Both Sushant and Shabir are said to be good friends and had a great time on the sets.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story stars Sushant as cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film will showcase the journey of the Indian skipper from working as a ticket collector to leading the Indian cricket team. It will also throw light on his struggles and reveal some lesser-known truths about Dhoni's life before he attained success as a cricketer.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story also stars Kiara Advani as Dhoni's wife Sakshi, Bhumika Chawla as his sister, and Rajesh Sharma as his coach. It is slated for release on 30 September.

Meanwhile, on Kumkum Bhagya, Aaliya, in an attempt to separate Abhi from Pragya, threatens the protagonist that she would never let them get back together. She was then seen hatching a plan to separate Abhi and Pragya by introducing Tanu (Leena Jumani) in Abhi's life.
