5 Key Attributes of Motorola Moto X Play

System on Chip (SoC):

Moto X Play houses a Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), which is found in most of the mid-range smartphones available in the Indian market. But what separates the Motorola device from the rivals is that it houses company's proprietary Motorola Mobile Computing System, which has two separate processors--a natural language processor and a contextual computing processor--taking the core-count to 10.

Natural language processor powers the 'Touchless Control' feature of Moto X Play. The phone's mics are always awake waiting for user to say the trigger phase 'OK, Google Now' to perform functions like setting an alarm, put reminder on the calendar, ask direction on Google Map, play music and many other operations without having to use the finger, he/she can just speak to the phone.

On the other hand, the Contextual processor, with the help of motion sensors, enables the smartphone to be self aware of the environment to display time or any notifications on the screen.

The device will get to know when the user picks the phone out of his pocket, or picks up the phone from the desk near to him and then only the select pixels of the display lights up to show the time or any pending notifications without having to unlock the phone.

It is backed by Adreno 405 graphic engine, sumptuous 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB (in select markets only).

Battery:

Moto X Play comes with a high-capacity 3630mAh battery, which is enough to run the phone for close to 48 hours under mixed usage.

Near-Pure Android OS Experience:

Like all previous Motorola devices, Moto X Play also comes with no additional visually un-appealing skin or any bloat-wares to cram the storage space. Moto X Play users will have vanilla android experience like we see in Google affiliated Nexus series.

It also comes with Motorola's official Moto App, wherein the user can configure gesture action, display settings and notifications and other value-added features.

Camera:

Besides the feature-rich CPU, Moto X Play also houses a top-notch camera as well. It boasts a 21MP camera having Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) flash with dual LED flash, Burst mode, night mode, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus), Quick capture (twirl smartphone twice to launch camera) and Video HDR.

On the front, it comes packed with a 5MP camera.

Water-resistant coating:

Moto X Play boasts advanced nano-coating technology, which creates a protective water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water, such as accidental spills, splashes, or light rain.

[Note: Users are advised not to take Moto X Play for a dip in swimming pool.]
