Just hours after Moto G 4G-LTE made its appearance on the Amazon website, Motorola Mobility has officially launched the phone in London.
The new Moto G variant now comes with the advanced 4G-LTE chipset, enabling faster data transfer, close to 100/50 mbps (download/upload) speed. In addition to that, the phone now comes with microSD card slot, which was sorely missed in the 3G variants. Now, users can expand the device's memory up to 32GB.
Beside these two features, the new 4G variant packs pretty much the same specifications seen inside the original Moto G model. It sports a 4.5-inch HD display with a sturdy polycarbonate matt-finish body, having water-resistant nano coating (both inside and out) and runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat, powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 series CPU, backed by a sumptuous 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB storage.
Moto G 16GB 4G-LTE is said to cost £130/$219 (around ₹13,000) without contract, whereas the 8GB model price is yet to be ascertained.
Motorola also unveiled budget smartphone Moto E in the UK and India today (13 May). It is a watered down version of the company's best-selling phone Moto G. It flaunts an ergonomic curved design, similar to Moto X and features 4.3-inch qHD (960x540p) display, with scratch-and-splash resistant Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Under the hood, it ships with Android v4.4 KitKat OS, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core CPU, Adreno 302 graphics engine, backed by sumptuous 1GB RAM, 4GB expandable storage (up to 32GB) and also houses a 5.0-megapixel primary camera and 1980 mAh (Li-Ion) battery, which can provide power for close to 24 hours under mixed media usage.
