The press shots and specifications details of Motorola's upcoming smartphone Moto E have surfaced online, just days ahead of its launch.
Brazil-based online store FastShop accidently listed Motorola's yet-to-be announced Moto E on its website, revealing the smartphone's design and features. The page was taken down soon after the news went viral but by then technology blog AndroidOS.in had snapped some screenshots of the device's press renders.
In the pictures, the device's front side is shown having two wide grills (top & bottom) and sensors on the left top; it's very identical to the live images leaked online earlier in the week. Even the caricature image of Moto E, released by Motorola's official Indian retail partner Flipkart, is similar to the press image shown on the Brazilian e-shop. [To view the pictures, click here]
In terms of specifications, Moto E is expected to flaunt a 4.3-inch screen (probably qHD - 960x540p) with Gorilla Glass 3 shield and ship with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB (expandable via microSD card), a 5.0 megapixel main camera and a 1980 mAh battery.
The features of Moto E, listed by the website, are also in line with previous reports but the report cannot be assumed to be true yet. We just have to wait till Moto E becomes official on 13 May.
Motorola has sent invites to the media in the UK and India as it is hosting simultaneous events at London and New Delhi. Word on the street is that Moto E will be made available to a few select markets on the very day of the launch. In India, the budget Motorola phone is expected to be sold for under ₹10,000 (less than $167/€121).
Flipkart, which is the sole retailer of Moto G and Moto X in India, has confirmed that Moto E will also be exclusively available on their website.
