Motorola has a good reception in India for its worthy budget smartphones in India. Responding to the growing demand from consumers, the company started selling its latest Moto E 2nd Gen smartphone in the country for just ₹6,999.

Sony recently launched the 4G LTE variant of its successful Xperia E4 to take on rivals such as Lenovo A6000, Moto E 2nd Gen and other budget phones in emerging markets like India. The handset is still not available for purchase but it will be available in April. It is understandable if you are confused between Moto E and Sony Xperia E4g as both phones have almost similar specs. Display

Sony Xperia E4g and Moto E 2nd Gen have almost same screen size but the Sony's phone is bigger. At 4.7 inches, Sony Xperia E4g beats Moto E 2nd Gen's 4.5-inch screen. Once again the new Moto E falls short in the processing category but the difference is barely differentiable. The Xperia E4g is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT6732 and the Moto E uses 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor.

Battery

Motorola has an upper hand in this department. The Moto E is equipped with a 2,390mAh battery, which promises 24 hours of continuous mixed usage while Sony offers a 2,300mAh battery for almost 13 hours of talk time.

RAM and Storage

Both phones have 1GB RAM and processor-compatible GPUs. The built-in storage on both phone is same at 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Price and Availability

The Moto E 2nd Gen 3G variant is already available in India for ₹6,999, but the 4G LTE version is set out for a later release. Similarly, the Sony Xperia E4g is expected to hit the market in April but the exact pricing is unknown. The Moto E 4G variant is priced at $149.99 in the US, putting its approximate value between ₹8,000 to ₹8,500 and the Sony Xperia E4g is marked at €129 (around $146/₹9,100).
