IFA 2015: Motorola Launches new Line of Sleek Moto 360 Variants; Price and Everything You Need to KnowMotorola Blog (Official) - Screen-shot

Motorola is reportedly planning to launch the new Moto 360 series smartwatch in India next month.

For past one week, the American company has been teasing device launch on social network platforms such as Twitter and Facebook with a caption -- 'Coming Soon' -- with the tag "Focus and Prioritize". The alphabet 'O' in the words 'Focus' and 'Prioritize' is graphically amplified to show message notification on a circular display, hinting that the mystery device might be the new Moto 360 smartwatch.

Now, Motorola has begun sending out invites for an event on 1 December in New Delhi. Thus, confirming the release date of Moto 360 (2 Gen).

For the uninitiated, Motorola Moto 360 (2nd gen) was originally unveiled in September at the internationally acclaimed electronics trade fair IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2015 in Germany.

It comes in three variants: for men, women and a sports edition. Second generation Moto 360 (Men) comes in two sub-variants in terms of size -- one having 46mm similar to the 2014 model and another slimmer 42mm model. The women's model also comes with 42mm size.

Under the hood, they both house 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC (System on chip), Adreno 305 graphics engine, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage capacity, heart-rate monitor and slew of health related apps via Moto body app. Interesting thing to note that new Moto 360 models come pre-compatible to iPhone devices as well. The company is also evaluating options to sync device to Apple Health kit app well.

New Moto 360 Sport:

This new edition smartwatch boasts pretty much same hardware seen in the original model, but comes with some exclusive features such as built-in GPS modem to track speed, distance and pace. And it also boasts strong silicone construction with special UV coating to wear-off moisture and help prevent staining and colour fading (comes in black, white and orange options).

Another key aspect of Moto 360 Sport is the 'AnyLight' screen, touted to be world's hybrid display that can automatically adapt to the level of natural light around the user.

People can enjoy a traditional LCD screen for maximum readability. Then when you are out for a run, natural light is reflected to improve readability, especially in bright or sunny conditions, claims Motorola.
