Moto X (Gen 2) Gets Another Price Cut In India But Only For A Limited PeriodMotorola Press

Motorola is hoping to attract prospective smartphone shoppers with a generous price cut on its flagship smartphone in India. Shortly after the tech giant announced a price cut on its Moto X (Gen 2) model last month, it decided on another drop in the cost of the mobile. Available exclusively via Flipkart, the Moto X smartphone is now available for ₹24,999 for the 16GB variant, which is ₹2,000 cheaper than the discounted price from last month.

The discount also applies on other Moto X (Gen 2) models, the 32GB variant as well as the Bamboo and Leather models. With the new offer, the higher-end 32GB variant costs ₹27,999, while the Bamboo or Leather models can be bought for ₹26,999. The new prices are already in effect but Flipkart hasn't mentioned any end date, except that the offer is valid until "stocks last or till the offer ends".

Prior to this discount, Motorola treated its Moto X (Gen 2) with a special ₹3,000 discount. The new price cut is the second in less than two weeks, which either suggests the company is nearing the launch of a new successor or desperate to clear its inventory citing immense pressure from giants like Samsung, LG, Apple and others.

The price cut makes the Moto X (Gen 2) an incredible smartphone with high-end features. The handset boasts a 5.2-inch Full HD OLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 423ppi, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and has a 2,300mAh battery. Motorola also packs an impressive camera, a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter with f/2.25 lens and dual-LED flash, in its Moto X (Gen 2). The front camera has a 2MP sensor, which can record videos in 1080p resolution.

In other news, Motorola is also hosting a similar limited period discount on its budget smartphone, Moto G (Gen 2), and smartwatch, Moto 360. With the discount, the Moto G second generation smartphone is available for ₹10,999 for the 16GB variant and the Moto 360 smartwatch costs 12,999.
