Moto G series smartphones have been exclusive to Flipkart since their launch in 2014. Now, the devices can be grabbed on Amazon India, said Motorola on Twitter.
Motorola had exclusive tie-up with Flipkart to sell all Moto series (G, E and X) since the beginning of 2014, and last year, it announced that the company will soon join hands with other e-commerce sites so that the company's devices reach wider consumer base. On an experimental basis, it began to offer Moto E (2015) on Amazon India, Snapdeal and Airtel outlets.
In December 2014, Motorola launched Moto 360 exclusively on Amazon India and again just a few days ago, it released Moto X Force on the same online shop.
Probably buoyed by the public response, Motorola has begun selling the company's most popular smartphone series -- Moto G -- on Amazon India. As of now, people can buy only the new Moto G (3rd gen) and Moto G Turbo (HERE).
With Moto G series selling on Amazon India, we won't be surprised if Motorola introduces Moto X (Play and Style) series on the aforementioned site in the coming days.
Moto G Turbo is an advanced version of the original Moto G (3rd edition). The key difference between the two is that the former variant houses a 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 series Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), whereas the latter features 64-bit class Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor.
Another notable difference in the new Moto G variant is the Turbo Power charging technology, which is said to enable quick charging of the device. A few minutes of charging will be more than enough for the phone to run for many hours.
Rest of the specification of the devices remain the same. They house 2GB RAM, 13MP camera on the rear-side, 5MP front-camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 2470 mAh battery and boast IP67 water-and-dust proof certification.
[Note: Devices with IP67 certification have the ability to survive 5 feet under-water for up to 30 minutes.]
