Moto Cyber Monday 2016 sale: Moto G4, G4 Plus and G4 Play series get massive price cuts

After doling out  huge discounts on flagship Moto Z series in the recently concluded Black Friday 2016 sale, Lenovo-owned Motorola is now slashing prices on its popular mid-range smartphone Moto G4 series, as part of Cyber Monday 2016 promotional campaign.

Depending on the storage and Moto G4 series variant, the company is giving away close to $70 cash discounts.

Here's a rundown on Motorola's Cyber Monday 2016 deals on Moto G4 series:

Moto G4 Plus:

Moto G4 Plus, being a top-end model among all the Moto G4 series, gets the maximum price cut. Motorola is offering $70 on both 64GB version and 16GB version, thereby reducing the cost of the devices to $229.99 and $199.99, respectively.

Moto G4:

The company is waiving $40 off on the generic Moto G4 series — 16GB ($179.99 after savings) and 32GB ($189.99 after savings) — models.

For the uninitiated, the Moto G4 is a low-end model of the Moto G4 Plus. Both the phones share most of the specifications. The key differentiating factors between the two models is that the latter houses fingerprint sensor on the home button and superior 16MP primary camera with laser autofocus on the back, whereas the former features a 13MP snapper on the back and it lacks biometric security sensor. Rest of specifications remain the same in both the devices.

They sport a 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 shield and run Android Marshmallow OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, and a 3000mAh battery with Turbo charger.

Moto G4 Play:

Motorola is offering $20 off on Moto G4 Play, thus bringing the device's cost from $149.99 to $129.99.

For those unaware, Moto G4 Play is a watered-down version of the original Moto G4 model. The former comes with a smaller 5.0-inch screen with HD (1280x720p) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU, an 8MP primary camera and a 2800mAh battery. On the other hand, the latter features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, a 13MP camera on the rear and a 3,000mAh battery.

The other key specifications, such as RAM capacity, mobile OS, and front camera, remain the same.
