Pope Francis may hold a consistory on September 30 to formally approve the sainthood of Blesseds John Paul II and John XXIII. Cardinal Angelo Amato, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, said only Pope Francis knew the date on which the canonizations would take place.
