Ever since his debut, Kartik Aaryan has left his audience divided. Many feel that the actor is one of the most bankable stars but there are many who call his acting 'repetitive' and 'fake'. Amid all this, renowned actor Prashant Narayanan has called Kartik a "terrible" actor. He has added that Aaryan is only surviving in the industry because of his parents' blessings.
The Murder 2 actor was speaking to Bollywood Bubble when he made these comments. He said that even though Kartik is a terrible actor, he is the luckiest to have survived in the industry. H also accused the people around of boosting the non-communicative actor.
Terrible but lucky
"I think he is one of the most terrible actors we have over here, but an extremely lucky person. He is only surviving because of his parents' blessings. I feel that he is an extremely non-communicative and boosted by people around him kind of person. I liked him in the first film that he did (Pyaar Ka Punchnama)," Prashant said.
The host then questioned that if that was the case, why was the audience watching all his movies and turning them into hits. To this, Narayanan was quick to say that people might not appreciate him but go to the theatres to laugh.
Laughing at somebody
"I don't know how many people are appreciating them, but I have seen people laughing at them. So, if you can make people laugh, that is a good enough thing. There is a difference between when you are laughing with somebody and when you are laughing at somebody. The Indian audiences are mostly laughing at somebody," he added.
Kartik's recent release - Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri – tanked at the box office. The film was neither appreciated by the audience nor by the critics. However, the 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' actor has cemented his position in the industry with several hits over the years and many even refer to him as the most bankable star.
