Ed Boon, the co-creator of "Mortal Kombat," has hinted at a possible Kombat Pack 3 for the video game "Mortal Kombat X." The 2015 game from developer NetherRealm Studios has until now received only two Kombat Packs.

Boon's Twitter post included a poll that had three options — Kombat Pack 3, MK11 and Shaolin Monks sequel. Kombat Pack 3 received 44 percent of the total votes and Shaolin Monks sequel received 31 percent. It is interesting to note that only 25 percent of voters wanted to see "Mortal Kombat 11." Boon, who is known for his trolls, simply hinted that Kombat Pack 3 could be the "next?"

He also expressed surprise at Kombat Pack 3 winning the poll and "Mortal Kombat 11" coming last.

Kombat Packs for "Mortal Kombat X" and "Mortal Kombat XL" add new fighting game characters and more content. Kombat Pack 2 had brought Bo' Rai Cho, Tri-Borg, Leatherface and Xenomorph.

Earlier rumours had suggested that NetherRealm could be working on an "Injustice: Gods Among Us" sequel, but if we consider Boon's tweet, the company is apparently working towards having more content on "Mortal Kombat X."

Though Kombat Pack 3 is not confirmed, we can wait and watch for official information from the studio or from Boon in the months ahead.
