Sony TV's "Reporters" that has Rajeev Khandelwal (Kabir) and Kritika Kamra (Ananya) in lead roles, will air its last episode in mid-October.

According to reports, the popular show will be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's new show "Pyar Ko Ho Jane Do" that will bring a fresh pair of talented actors, Iqbal Khan and Mona Singh, together.

Mona, who was last seen in the hit show "Kya Huaa Tera Vaada", is best known for her unusual role as Jassi in "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin".

"Pyar Ko Ho Jane Do" is a mature love story and will start airing from 12 October at 9 pm.

"Balaji Telefilm's upcoming show on Sony TV, Pyar Ko Ho Jane Do featuring Iqbal Khan and Mona Singh as leads will hit the floors from October 12 onwards taking a timeslot of 9pm. With this it will be a wrap up of the finite show Reporters that features lovable Jodi of Ananya and Kabir AKA Kritika Kamra and Rajeev Khandelwal in lead," a source told India-Forums.

A few months ago, there was news that "Reporters" will be pulled off-air due to low TRP rating. The show makers refuted the reports, but claimed that the show was meant to be a finite series with 130 episodes.

Rajeev too stated that "Reporters" is a finite series and that he signed a contract for 120 episodes, but it got extended to 130 episodes.

"It is a finite series so it is bound to end someday. The show will go off air, when it completes its run, irrespective of its numbers," Rajeev had earlier told Absolute India.
