Rajinikanth's "Kabali" and Mohanlal's "Oppam" are among the most-awaited movies of the year. While the Pa. Ranjith-directed film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 22, the latest we hear from the industry is that the trailer of Priyadarshan's movie will be attached with the Rajinikanth-starrer.

It has to be noted that the Kerala theatrical right of "Kabali" has been bagged by Mohanlal's company Maxlab reportedly for Rs. 7.5 crore. The amount has beaten the distribution right records of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Bahubali" and Ilayathalapathy Vijay's "Theri" in the state.

In the upcoming crime thriller, Mohanlal plays the role of a blind man, a lift operator who is the only witness to a crime. The movie marks the comeback of hit duo Mohanlal and Priyadarshan, who have delivered many superhit movies in Malayalam. The thriller also stars Vimala Raman, Anusree, Samuthirakani‬, Aju Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Harish KR and Innocent in significant roles. "Oppam" is expected to hit the screens during the second week of September as an Onam release.

Meanwhile, "Kabali," which narrates the story of a gangster based in Malaysia, is expected to make roaring business at the worldwide box offices, owing to the massive support of Rajinikanth throughout the world. The big-budget gangster thriller has been making headlines almost every day, and its teaser has become one of the most watched videos on YouTube with more than 24 million views.
