Malayalam actor Mohanlal who was hospitalised recently is reportedly recovering well and the actor is expected to get back into action soon. He was admitted in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi due to severe leg pain.
"Peruchazhi" producers Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu recently visited the actor. The actress-producer, Sandra said that the actor is recovering well and is expected to get back to action in four days. The team also announced that the audio launch of their upcoming film "Peruchazhi" will take place once Mohanlal recovers.
Apparently, Mohanlal has been suffering from leg pain for a long time, but was postponing the treatment due to his busy schedule. The actor has recently completed the shooting of "Peruchazhi" and the film will hit the theatres on 29 August.
"Peruchazhi" has been in the news ever since its announcement. It is satirical comedy film, directed by Arun Vaidhyanthan. This high budget film is mostly shot in the United States of America and is the first Malayalam film to be shot in the world renowned Universal Studio in Los Angeles, USA. The film will also mark the return of the evergreen comedy pair Mohanlal and Mukesh.
The outside Kerala distribution rights of the film is acquired by Fox Star Studios and will be released with English subtitles and Friday Ticket will distribute it in Kerala.
The film's trailer became a trending topic on social media within hours of its release.
"Peruchazhi" also has Aju Varghese, Baburaj, Vijay Babu, Delhi Ganesh, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Sean James Sutton, Ragini Nandhawani, Andrea Jeremiah, Sandra Thomas and Poonam Bajwa in the lead roles. The producers are also planning to remake the Mohanlal starrer in Tamil and Hindi.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is expected to join the team of his upcoming project "Laila O Laila" soon after he is back from the hospital. Directed by Joshiy, the film has Amala Paul in the lead. The trio's last film was "Run Baby Run" (2012). Director Sathyan Anthikkad has also announced his next project with Mohanlal and Manju Warrier. The shooting of this film is slated to begin in the month of October.
