There were many rumours about Mohanlal's role in his upcoming movie with Manju Warrier. Though Manju's role as a lawyer was revealed earlier, fans had no idea about Mohanlal's role.
The makers have now confirmed that the superstar will be seen as Vineeth N Pillai, a reporter from Vanitha Rathnam magazine, who lacks commitment to his work. Due to his careless nature, he is being accused as an irresponsible person by his colleagues and the management.
Meanwhile, Manju will be seen as a socially committed family court lawyer, Deepa, who stands up for what she believes is right and in a way is a symbol of women power. The film talks about how these two individuals, who are poles apart in character meet by destiny and the troubles they face to adjust with each other.
The film also has Innocent as Deepa's neighbour, Kuriachan. He is a father like figure for Deepa and takes his opinion on everything she does. Reenu Mathews will also be seen in the film in the role of Kalyani, who joins Vanitha Rathnam's management.

The audience is expecting a movie, which has pleasant, positive scenes and humorous aspects. The music of this much awaited entertainer is composed by Vidyasagar and has three songs, which are penned by Rafeeq Ahammed.
The cinematography of the movie is done by Neil D'Cunha who had earlier cranked the camera for films like "Money Ratnam" and "Philips and the Monkey Pen".
The upcoming Anthikkad-Mohanlal-Manju movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas and is scheduled to hit theatres for this Christmas.
