Superstar Mohanlal was honoured in a star-studded event titled "Mohanam 2016" from 6 p.m. onwards at Sarovaram in Kozhikode on Monday, Aug. 15. The event was conducted to celebrate the 36-year-long journey of the superstar.
During the function, Mohanlal was honoured with a memento by none other than megastar Mammootty. The four-time National Film Award winner extended his happiness to be part of the grand celebration and even thanked his co-star and dearest brother Mammootty for being with him throughout his journey to mark in the entertainment industry.
"Pranamaam is the only word that comes from my heart for the pleasant evening gifted to me. ‪#‎Mohanam2016 which was staged at kozhikode is the token of love for my 36 years long journey in film industry from my mentors and colleagues [sic]," Mohanlal posted on his Facebook page.
"Looking back there are many who helped me in this journey and it won't be complete without extending my gratitude to each and everyone. Again special thanks to the person who was always there with me throughout this journey and was also there at the event to present memento - my dearest brother Mammukka," the superstar wrote while sharing the photos of Mammootty handing over the memento to Mohanlal.
"Mohanam 2016" also saw the presence of actors Madhu, Joy Mathew, Ranji Panicker, Biju Menon, Jayaram, Manju Warrier, Vineeth, Lal, Kailash, Tiny Tom, Menaka Suresh, Geetha, Ambika, Surabhi, directors Kamal, Ranjith, Sibi Malayil, Shaji Kailas, Hariharan, Sathyan Anthikkad, Lal Jose, singers Rimi Tomy, Sithara, Vijay Yesudas and Baby Sreya Jayadeep, among many others. The full event will be telecast on Malayalam channel Surya TV in the coming days.
