Chandigarh's Navneet Kaur Dhillion won the Femina Miss India 2013 contest on Sunday night defeating 22 other beauties in a grand finale held in Mumbai.

The first runner-up of the contest was Vishakapatnam's Sobhita Dhulipala and the second runner-up was Mumbai's Zoya Afroz. [Click here to look the pictures of the winners]

The winners were selected in a glittering event held at Yashraj Studios to mark the centenary of Indian cinema as well as to celebrate the 50th edition of the beauty pageant. Sobhita was also crowned Femina Miss Itimes Digital Diva. She won a cash prize of 1 lakh. 

The auditions for the event took place in various places including Pune, Goa, Indore, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Delhi. The winners of the final contest were chosen by judges Karan Johar, John Abraham, Asin, Chitrangada Singh, Shiamak Davar, Ritu Kumar and Yuvraj Singh.

Former Miss Worlds and popular actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra entertained the audience with their scintillating performances. Aishwarya made a comeback on stage post her pregnancy in 2011. The beauty queen charmed the viewers with her stunning looks and dazzling dance performance.

Priyanka Chopra performed on "Desi Girl" at the event. She looked graceful in a sari. Singer Sonu Nigam enthralled the audience singing heart touching numbers.

The evening began with a performance by actors Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani who were there to promote their new film "Grand Masti".

Miss India 2012 Vanya Mishra presented a special award called 'Woman of Substance' to Urmi Basu for her work in the field of prostitution and trafficking.

The 20-year-old Navneet is the daughter of an army officer from Patiala. She studied at the Army Public School, Ambala, and attended Patiala's Punjabi University. First runner-up Sobhita is originally from Vishakapatnam and she is currently studying at HR College, Mumbai. Second runner-up Zoya (18) studied at RN Shah High School and then at Mithibai College.

Navneet will represent India at the Miss Universe international beauty pageant this year. Sobhita will represent India in the Miss World contest and Zoya will be India's entry for Miss Earth.
