Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has teased its upcoming Canvas Doodle 3 in its official Facebook page on Saturday.
The teaser video with the tagline 'A bigger imagination needs a bigger Canvas!' hints that the handset will boast a bigger screen in order to compete with its rivals and that the company will reveal the device soon. As of now, nothing is known about the specifications of the upcoming Canvas Doodle 3, but we expect that the company will tease more of it in the coming days.
The predecessor of Micromax Canvas Doodle 3, Canvas 2 sports a mammoth 5.7-inch screen with HD 1280x720 display resolutions, powered by a MediaTek (MT6589) quad-core processor with 1.2GHz CPU speed. It runs on the Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS and houses 1GB RAM, 16GB in-built memory, 12.0-megapixel main camera on the rear side and a 5.0-megapixel secondary camera on the front side. It comes loaded with 2,600 mAh battery and supports connectivity features like Dual-SIM, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and micro-USB v2.0. The device was launched with a price tag of ₹19,990 in India.
Recently, Micromax launched Canvas Juice A117 in India, which sports a FWVGA screen with 480x854p resolution and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek dual-core processor with 1GB RAM, Canvas Juice comes with 4GB inbuilt memory with an expandable option up to 32GB via microSD card and a high-capacity 3000 mAh battery, which can provide back up for 10 hours of talk time and close to 282 hours under standby mode.
Other stipulated features include 5.0-megapixel camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front and connectivity options like Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS, microSD card slot and USB .
