Popular Indian smartphone maker, Micromax is reportedly releasing the company's first dual-OS powered tablet 'LapTab' in the subcontinent next month.

Micromax Co-founder, Rahul Sharma has said that the new LapTab will be priced under $500 (less than ₹30,000) and expects to sell around 100,000 units within the first half of the year, reported PTI.

The new LapTab was unveiled at the International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014, last week. It sports a 10.1-inch HD (1280x800p) LCD screen and boasts of dual-booting modes - Android mobile OS (Jelly Bean v4.2.2) and the Microsoft's Windows 8.1.

Inside, it houses a 1.46GHz Intel® Celeron®N2805 processor paired with 2GB RAM, 32GB flash memory (expandable up to 64GB) , a 7400 mAh battery and comes with wireless keyboard with 230 mAh battery, which can run up to 20 plus hours in full charge. It also houses 2.0-megapixel camera on the front side with light sensor. 

On connectivity front, it boasts of Bluetooth v4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi feature and microUSB v2.0.
