Home grown smartphone maker, Micromax is reportedly gearing up to release a new phablet Canvas XL2 in to the India market soon.
The company has listed the new Canvas XL2 at the official website, hinting that the device would hit stores in the coming days.
According to the listing, Canvas XL2 is a phablet with a monster 5.5-inch display, that features qHD (960x540p) display resolution and is powered by Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS backed by 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).
Other stipulated features include 5.0-megapixe camera, 0.3-megapixel VGA front-camera, a 2,550 mAh battery, which can run the device for up to 8.5 hours of talk time and close to 255 hours under standby mode.
As of now, the company is yet to reveal the price and launch date of the device, but once released, it will act (if competitively priced) as a cheaper alternative to Samsung's Mega Series (5.8 and 6.3) and also be competing with its own sibling- Canvas XL, Canvas Doodle series (2 & 3) as well as Xolo Q2000L and Karbonn Titanium S9 Lite.

It sports a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display and ships with the Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS powered by the MediaTek Octa-core processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory.
