Micromax Canvas Tab P666: Budget Android Slate with Intel Atom CPU Launched in India; Price, Specifications

Home-grown smartphone maker Micromax launched a new Intel CPU-powered budget Android slate Canvas Tab P666 in India on Wednesday, 26 November.

At Micromax, we have always believed in bringing the most innovative solutions for our consumers by opting for smart partnerships," said Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax.

The new Canvas Tab P666 sports an 8.0-inch WXGA IPS display and ships with 1.2GHz Intel Atom (Z2520) CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory with options for expansion up to 32GB via microSD card.

It runs on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and boasts of 3G-enabled voice-calling feature and standard wireless connectivity specifications such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The company has confirmed that Micromax Canvas Tab P666 will hit stores both brick-and-mortar and online shops on 29 November across India for ₹10,999.

Competition:

The new Canvas Tab P666 will up against numerous budget Android tablets such as Dell Venue 8 (& 7), Acer Iconia A1-830, iBall Slide 3G 7803Q-900, Xolo QC800 Tablet, the recently-released Huawei Honor T1, Flipkart's Digiflip Pro series slates and other domestic brands.
