Indigenous smartphone maker, Micromax released a new budget handset, dubbed as Canvas Nitro 2 E311, in India on Tuesday.
The new Canvas Nitro 2 is the low-end variant of Canvas Nitro A311, which was launched in December 2014. Both the devices pack pretty much the same hardware, but differ in features like processor and battery.
While Nitro 2 E311 houses 1.4GHz Mediatek Octa-core CPU and 2400 mAh battery, Nitro A311 comes with faster 1.7GHz Mediatek Octa-core chipset and 2500 mAh battery. Other features remain same in the devices.
Nitro 2 E311 sports 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) resolution IPS screen with faux-leather coating on the rear-side, like we see in a few Samsung devices and also boasts of Oleophobic coating on the display to repel dust and finger-print smudges.
Under the hood, it comes packed with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 8mp camera on the rear-side and 5mp snapper on the front.

As of now, Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 has been released only on Infibeam (HERE) for ₹10,199. Details regarding the device's wider availability in other e-commerce sites and brick-and-mortar shops are expected to be announced soon.
In a related development, Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures today (12 May) unveiled a new smartphone Yuphoria and a couple of accessories, YUFit and HealthYU in India.
