Micromax Canvas 4 A210 Pre-Orders Witness Good Response

Micromax has reportedly recieved good orders for its next generation smartphone Canvas 4 A210 since its pre-booking window was opened.

Micromax in a reply to a query by tech enthusiast (Karan Bajaj) on its official Twitter page has confirmed that the company received more than 4081 pre-orders for Canvas 4 within 7 hours after the pre-booking started, i.e. almost 10 orders per minute.

The company's daring act of demanding ₹5,000 as advance pre-booking amount without revealing the full specifications and price of the new smartphone has been questioned by many.

Micromax has confirmed that the new Canvas 4 A210 will be unveiled on 8 July at a grand launch event in Delhi.

According to recent reports, Micromax's new phone is rumoured to sport a 5.0-inch plus TFT LCD Full HD screen and run on Android v4.2.2 OS powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor having 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

An online store, Saholic has already listed the Micromax Canvas 4 on its website with speculated specs and also mentions that the new phone will be made available to purchase on 30 June, but it is very likely to be a false promise as the Micromax had announced that the new Canvas 4 will be unveiled in the second week of next month.

Earlier, teaser videos released by the company hinted that the new Canvas 4 is likely to ship with a metal chassis and a 13.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash support.

Just couple of days ago, Micromax had released another teaser picture with a tagline that read - "CAN unlock without touch"- hinting the Canvas 4 might come with a new innovative screen un-locking feature, most probably a gesture control or a face-recognition based scanner.

Rumours are rife that the new Micromax Canvas 4 is expected to be priced around ₹15,000 and ₹20,000.
