Michael Schumacher Health Update: F1 Legend's Condition Improving Slowly, Says Agent

Michael Schumacher is showing encouraging signs of improvement, the Formula 1 legend's agent revealed.

Schumacher has been continuing his recovery process in a specially-built facility at his home, after suffering severe head injuries following a skiing accident in December 2013.

Some reports have suggested Schumacher will never return to his old self, almost unimaginable for his millions of fans around the world, and his agent Sabine Kehm gave an update on the German's health and condition.

"We are pleased to continue to say that he is making progress, and I say that always, given the severity of his head injuries," Kehm was quoted as saying by BILD.

Kehm, however, went on to warn people not to expect too much too soon, considering the seriousness of Schumacher's injuries.

"He is making progress," Kehm added on Sport-Informations-Dienst. "[But] we must always keep the seriousness of his injuries in mind."

Schumacher suffered the unfortunate accident in Maribel in the French Alps in December 2013. The F1 legend was in an induced coma for half a year, before being transferred to a rehabilitation establishment in Switzerland.

The 46-year-old was then later moved back to his home, where he is constantly monitored.

Schumacher is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest, Formula One drivers of all-time, winning a record seven driver's championship titles, most of them with the iconic Ferrari team.
