Metro: Last Light, a game well known for its astonishing graphics and bold post-apocalyptic story, has launched its fourth and final downloadable content (DLC) that will feature in the Chronicles Pack.

This FPS game from developers 4A Games will be inclusive of three original solo missions, which will be told from the perspective of one of the supporting characters in Metro. The DLC touches upon all the four memorable characters of the game: Khan, Pavel, Ulman and Anna.

This DLC takes the players across sniper Anna's unsuccessful attempt to rescue Artyom from the clutches of Third Reich set in the ruined botanical gardens. Players can follow Red Line stalwart Pavel's ingenuity and skills in escaping the Bandit Lair beneath Venice. Players will also get the opportunity to guide Khan and Ulman through the Polyanka tunnels which have been forgotten and haunted. This journey will also reveal "a dark secret from Khan's mysterious past...," said publisher Deep Silver in a blog post.

The post also noted that the character Khan is studio's favourite and they have tried to include subtler, supernatural horror that was present in Metro 2033, especially the level of Ghosts, in this DLC. It further explained reasons for not having all missions in the DLC as story-based missions. "We wanted the main game to be a complete, self-contained experience - we didn't want players to feel like they had to purchase the DLC to get the complete story," the studio stated.

Deep Silver also said that the DLC provided it with an opportunity to experiment with some new concepts and ideas like the 'Kshatriya' mission from the Faction Pack, puzzle-based gameplay of the Spider's Lair and combat-oriented score attack gameplay from the Tower Pack.

This DLC will also include a new weapon called Multi Barreled Bicycle Shotgun, which debuted in Developer pack.

It hinted on the future of the Metro franchise, saying, "We'll leave you with one final thought - Metro: Last Light picked up from the 'canon' ending of Metro 2033, in which (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Artyom destroys the Dark Ones. A lot of people are now asking which ending of Last Light is 'canon', without Dmitry's Metro 2035 to refer to..."

"We know. We're just not telling. Yet," it wrote.

The Metro: Last Light Chronicles Pack is available for $4.99 on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network or Steam. It is also a part of the Metro: Last Light Season Pass.

Season Pass is available for $14.99 and will include Faction, Tower and Developer Packs.
