German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched its much anticipated CLA 45 AMG in India with a price tag of ₹68.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG, the luxury maker's cheapest AMG offering in India comes powered by 2.0 litre four cylinder direct injection turbocharged petrol engine, which can churn out a maximum power of 265 kw @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 450 Nm @ 2,250-5,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to an AMG speedshift seven-speed transmission and the car sprints 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds with a top-speed of 250Km/h. CLA 45 AMG is the performance-oriented version of the company's sub-compact sedan CLA-Class and it comes with all-wheel-drive system.
The car will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route. In India, the car will not have direct rivals; however, other luxury brands will be posing challenges to the sales of CLA 45 AMG. The four-door coupe will be offering three driving modes, namely M- Momentary Mode, S - Sport Mode, and C- Controlled Efficiency mode and comes equipped with features like ESP, seven airbags, climate control seats, rear park assist and steering mounted controls.
The company has also launched a new communication campaign for its CLA 45 AMG car titled 'Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Ah My God'.

Mercedes-Benz's current AMG lineup in India includes C 63 AMG, E 63 AMG, G 63 AMG, GL 63 AMG, SLS AMG and ML 63 AMG. The company is also selling A Class, B Class, sedans C Class, E Class, and S Class, besides the locally made S Class E-Class, C-Class, GL-Class and the M-Class models.
Recently, the company launched its ML 63 AMG in India, with a price tag of ₹1.49 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). The ML 63 AMG, a stylish and powerful SUV from Mercedes-Benz, draws its power from a 5.5 litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine, which can churn out a power of 525 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. It comes mated with an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, which can attain 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and offers a top speed of 250 kmph.
