German luxury car-maker Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch its new AMG SLC 43 in India on July 26. Mercedes-Benz AMG SLC 43 will replace the SLK model range in India.

The two seater convertible sports car, which made its global debut at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, is expected to be priced at over Rs. 1 crore.

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 gets 3.0litre, 6 cylinder, twin turbo engine under the skin, which can pump in 362bhp at 5,500-6,000rpm and a peak torque of 520Nm at 2,000- 4,200 rpm. While the transmission in this new AMG offering will be taken care of by 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, SLC 43 AMG can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds before attaining a top speed of 250kmph. There are options of five driving modes-economy, comfort, sport, sport+ and individual.

From a visual stand point, the soon-to-be-launched AMG SLC 43 shares more than a passing resemblance to SLK and has adopted changes both inside and outside. At the front, now the AMG SLC 43 flaunts new front grille with single chrome slat. It features new headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Though the side profile of the new AMG offering looks the same as SLK, at the rear, its bumper and tail lamps get a re-working.

It rides on 18-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels and comes with features like updated instrument cluster, multifunction sports steering wheel and upholstery finished in black nappa leather.
