Members of the Telugu film fraternity will be gathering under one roof for "Memu Saitam – We Love Vizag," a campaign to raise funds for rebuilding Vizag, which faced the wrath of the Hudhud cyclone in October.
Telugu film celebrities have planned for several events to raise the funds and the money collected will be donated to the Andhra Pradesh CM relief fund. As part of the campaign, 12-hour live television events are being planned for Sunday, 30 November.
Several film stars including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Jr NTR and Ram Charan among others will be taking part in the "Memu Saitam" (or "Memu Saitham") initiative.
"We have all come forward for a noble cause and we urge the Telugu diaspora across the globe to come together and contribute to the rebuilding of Vishakhapatnam, which was devastated due to Hudhud cyclone," Chiranjeevi said in a statement, according to IANS.
The events will start at 10am and will go on till 10pm on Sunday. Several interesting initiatives like "Dine with Stars" and "Cricket with Stars" have been planned for the 12-hour telethon.
"Dine with Stars" will give cinema lovers an opportunity to dine with their favourite stars on 29 November. Several popular Telugu film actors and bollywood heroines are likely to be part of the "Dine with Stars" event. It starts at 7:30pm on Saturday and goes on till 10:30pm. Cricket with stars
A cricket match involving stars will take place on 30 November at Kotla Vijaybhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Yousufguda. There will be four teams and actors like Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh will be their respective captains. Each team will have eight members including six male actors and two female actors. Each side will play six overs per match and tournament starts at 3pm and ends at 6pm.
On Thursday, 27 November, captains of the four cricket teams will be bidding to pick other stars for their teams.

Tamil film stars have also been invited to join the Telugu film celebrities in their campaign. Actors including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are expected to attend the event.
