Giving a taste of what to expect from Avengers 4 (the untitled Avengers sequel), Kevin Feige told Cinemablend teased fans that the two movies are rather different from each other. So there won't be a spillover effect of the Avengers war in the fourth movie.

Revealing minimal details, the Marvel head told the website, "They're two very different movies. That's all I'll say." This statement confirms that the two stories will have different storylines and the Thanos angle could either end with Avengers: Infinity War or will continue in the Guardian's Galaxy.

More details and updates on the Marvel movie indicate that Avengers 4 is not being filmed simultaneously as the Avengers: Infinity War. The Avengers and Guardians have gathered together to wrap up the filming of the third Avengers unity and Russo brothers are currently focusing on that project alone.

Talking to Collider, Feige revealed that Avengers 4 will be headed to the production stage in the fall. "We're doing them one right after another. It became too complicated to cross-board them like that, and we found ourselves – again, something would always pay the price. We wanted to be able to focus and shoot one movie and then focus and shoot another movie," he said. Feige added that the film will begin filming in August.

While we wait for Avengers 4 to get a proper title, like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Age of Ultron, the update from Infinity War sets continues to make headlines. It is reported that while Chris Pratt gears for the release of GotG Vol 2, the actor has almost finished shooting his part of filming for Avengers: Infinity War.

Pratt told Toronto Sun while discussing Guardians 2 that the Star-Lord's role is almost finished shooting. "I was never sure how that would happen or if that would happen, but then they announced it and called us and told us it was happening. We've shot most of it — my stuff — and I can tell you, the fans are not going to be disappointed. It's going to be really freaking cool."

Pratt and other cast members have clarified that while they are not playing the lead roles in the Avengers sequel, they do play a key role in the storytelling.

Guardians of the Galaxy hits cinemas on May 5, 2017 and a year later, Avengers: Infinity War debuts on May 4, 2018.
