Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, is reportedly set to launch its new Swift Dzire facelift in India in December, according to a report.

Maruti Swift Dzire facelift has been in the headlines for quite sometime now. Now a report by CarTrade, citing sources close to the development claims that Maruti is planning to launch the facelifted version of Swift Dzire in India next month. However, the report did not divulge the exact launch details of the car.

Maruti Swift Dzire facelift, the new avatar of the Dzire sedan, has already made numerous appearances on the cyber space through spy pictures and leaked reports.

From what we know so far, the new Dzire facelift will pack the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engines under the hood and the car is likely to get changes both inside and outside.

Visually, the facelift is expected to get a reworked front and rear profile with new headlamps and bumpers.

Inside the cabin, the sedan is expected to get electrically adjustable wing mirrors, new upholstery, push start/stop button and six-speaker sound system with Bluetooth and iPod compatibility music system.

When launched, the Maruti Swift Dzire facelift will take on the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest and expect the car to fall in the price range of ₹5 lakh to ₹8 lakh.

Recently, Maruti launched the facelift of its popular hatchback Swift at a starting price of ₹4.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Swift facelift, which comes with the same engines of its regular model, gets features including electrically retractable and adjustable ORVMs, 12 spoke alloy wheels, reverse parking sensors with display, new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering-mounted call and audio controls, I-key entry and new fabric upholstery.
