Fresh batch images of Maruti Suzuki's upcoming premium hatchback Baleno has emerged online, suggesting that the model has hit the assembly line in the country ahead of its expected launch during the festive season this year.

Suzuki Baleno, the global hatchback popularly known by its codename YRA, is poised to make its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Expo, which is scheduled for 15 September. In India, YRA is expected to make its market entry during the festive season this year, possibly by November. The model will be sold through Maruti's new premium dealerships Nexa.

Now ahead of its expected launch in the country, a member of The Automotive India forum has shared new set spy shots of Maruti YRA aka Baleno, which show the first unit of the model being rolled out of Maruti's production facility in Manesar.

In terms of dimensions, 2016 Suzuki Baleno measures 4,023mm in length, 1,920mm in width and 1,450mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. India-bound Baleno is likely to get revised front and rear bumper.

Caught on camera numerous times, Maruti YRA aka Baleno is likely to be offered in six body shades -- White, Silver, Black, Red, Blue and Sun light copper.

Under the hood, Baleno will pack the company's newly-developed 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine and rumours also have it that, the powerplant of YRA will also include 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engines and the familiar 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine.

In India, Maruti Suzuki Baleno aka YRA will be pitched against Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Punto Evo, and is expected to be priced around Rs 7.5 to 9 lakh.
