Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, is all set to break the cover of its new subcompact SUV Vitara Brezza in India at the Auto Expo 2016. Ahead of its premier at the auto show, the company has put up the microsite for its new SUV, almost confirming that the Vitara will be sold through regular dealers.

The new web page of Vitara Brezza, which has gone live with the "coming soon" tag, also suggests that the new subcompact SUV could go on sales in India soon after its debut at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Maruti has also started sending its prospective buyers the teaser image of Vitara Brezza via e-mail.

Maruti Vitara Brezza, the sub 4-metre SUV has been designed and engineered completely by the Indian R&D team led by Chief Engineer CV Raman. Brezza, which is Italian for fresh breeze, is popularly known by its codename YBA in India. The model, which was caught on camera countless times, is expected to be pitted against Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 in India.

From a visual stand point, Vitara Brezza is expected to get large honeycomb grille on the front with projector headlight and integrated LED DRLs along with square wheel-arches and high shoulder-line of the model. The compact SUV will ride on 5-dual-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels and is likely to get all black interiors with silver accents. As for features, the new Vitara Brezza is expected to pack multi-functioning steering wheel, SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system, automatic climate control, key-less entry, push start/stop button and touchscreen infotainment system, airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).

Regarding the under the hood treatment, Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to house 1.2-litre K-Series engine and 1.3 litre Fiat sourced diesel engine. From the word around internet, Vitara Brezza is likely to be priced in Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.2 lakh brackets.
