India's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki posted a growth of 1.8% at 1,14,756 units in June, as opposed to 1,12,773 units in the corresponding month last year.

In June, Maruti sold 34,336 units of Alto and Wagon R, compared to 47,618 units last June, registering 27.9% decline in the mini-passenger segment. The sales of the super-compact Dzire Tour jumped to 2,893 units last month, up from 1,542 units in June 2014, with a growth of 87.6%.

The compact car segment that includes Swift, Ritz, Celerio and Dzire recorded 24.4% growth at 45,701 units in June against 36,741 units in the corresponding month last year. The sales of Maruti's SX4 in 2014 was 322 units compared to its replacement Ciaz, which stood at 3,700 units.

The sales of utility vehicles Gypsy, Grand Vitara and Ertiga was 5,531 units in June, up from 5,003 units in the corresponding month last year.

The company sold 10,465 units of Omni and Eeco last month, compared to 9,738 units in June 2014.

Maruti's exports in June recorded 12,130 units, up from 11,809 units in June 2014, a growth of 2.7%.
