A test mule of Maruti's upcoming S-Cross has seen spied testing in the country once again.

Still heavily camouflaged, the SX4 S-Cross, Maruti's first crossover-SUV was caught on camera in Chandigarh – Ambala highway by a member of My Fiat World. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross SX4, first seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 is expected to reach Indian shores by next year. The car which is already on sales in the international market has been seen testing for various conditions on Indian roads before too.

In the international market, S-Cross is offered with Suzuki's 'Allgrip' all-wheel-drive system and the vehicle is the replacement of SX4. Rumours are that the Indian specific version of the car will also accommodate the similar features offered in the global market. Previous reports have suggested that the car is likely to get features like LED daytime-running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, scuff plates and black cladding when it comes to India.

Talking about the engine specifications, it is likely to pack 1.6-litre diesel engine which can churn out a power of 118 bhp with a peak torque of 32 kgm and is expected to come coupled to six-speed manual gearbox. Although the company is still coy about the details of the new offering, it is expected to be priced in the ₹13 lakh brackets.

Moving on to the other cars expected from Maruti, the auto enthusiasts in the country are waiting to see Maruti Ciaz and Maruti Swift facelift on the road. Ciaz, the replacement of the under performing SX4 in the country is expected to reach the market by the end of this year. First seen at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014, Ciaz is based on the Suzuki Authentics concept car and is likely to come with 1.3 liter Multijet diesel or 1.4 liter K Series petrol engine of Ertiga. The car will be pitted against Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento in the sub-continent and is expected to fall in the price brackets of ₹7.2 lakh to ₹10.5 lakh.

Maruti Swift facelift is expected around this festive season and is likely to come loaded with features like LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), foldable rear seats, infotainment with Bluetooth connectivity and electronic foldable ORVMs.
