Maruti Suzuki silently launched limited edition of its S-Cross crossover for Rs 9,55,017 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The limited edition was first showcased at Auto Expo 2016 in the beginning of February and the market launch was confirmed soon after the show.

The limited edition is purely a cosmetic upgrade based on Zeta DDiS 200 variant. It boasts of chrome back door garnish, rear-end spoiler in black paint finish, sporty pedals, ORVM garnish in matt black finish, foot well lamp with blue light (ambient light). The interior also freshened up with new steering wheel covers and seats get new leather covers with a blue contrast stitching. The dark shaded alloy wheels, touchscreen audio system, Garmin transparent heads-up display and rear entertainment with two screens mounted behind the front seat are not added to the launched limited edition model, Carwale reported. These were part of the show car at Auto Expo.

The limited edition is powered by the turbocharged four-cylinder 124cc diesel motor delivering a power output of 89bhp at 4000rpm and 200Nm of peak torque at 1750rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox with power being sent to the front wheels.

Maruti Suzuki launched the S-Cross as a premium offering via Nexa dealerships in August last year. The sales were on top gear for the first couple of months. The number came down after initial excitement in November and December, and Maruti Suzuki sold the car with discounts up to three lakhs. The limited edition with affordable price is expected to boost the sales of the cross over.
