Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Features Revealed Ahead of Launch; Bookings, Price, Mileage and Other

Maruti Suzuki's new sedan Ciaz is expected to break the cover in India in October and now the official brochures of the car have appeared online ahead of its launch, giving us the specifications of the car in details.

The leaked brochure reveals the engine specifications of the new Ciaz, including the power and torque.

As reported earlier, Maruti Ciaz will get power from 1.3 litre Multijet diesel or 1.4 litre K Series petrol engine. While the 1.4 litre K series (K14B) petrol engine is capable of producing 95 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm, the 1.3 litre DDIS diesel motor is tuned to churn out 90 PS at 4,000 rpm power and 200 Nm peak torque at 1,750 rpm.

As far as the mileage of the Ciaz is concerned, the petrol version of the vehicle is expected to deliver a mileage of 20.73 kmpl and the diesel model gives the segments best 26.21 kmpl.

Talking about the key features of the car, Ciaz, the replacement of Maruti's poor performance SX4 will pack SmartPlay infotainment system, dual tone dash board with wooden accents, climate control, reverse parking with rear parking sensors, premium leather upholstery, steering-mounted audio controls, ABS with EBD, electrically foldable OVRMs with turn key indicators, electric trunk opening, front and rear arm rest, rear AC vents, keyless entry, projector beam headlamps, push-button start, 16-inch alloy wheels and more.

The company has already commenced the bookings for Ciaz in the country and according to the latest bookings figure; the Ciaz has garnered more than 3,000 bookings within few days of its opening.

Although the pricing details of the car are not revealed yet, going by the rumours and previous reports, Maruti is likely to price its new sedan in the ₹7.2 lakh-₹10.5 lakh price brackets.

In India, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento will be the main rivals of Ciaz and will be available in four trims – V, V+, Z and Z+ in both petrol and diesel model.

According to the official brochures, Ciaz will come donned in seven colours - Pearl Snow White, Pearl Metallic, Dignity Brown, Pearl Sangria Red, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Glistening Gray, Pearl Midnight Black and Metallic Clear Beige.
