While Maruti Suzuki's new Celerio diesel is just a few days away from being launched, a new video of the model has surfaced online, giving the auto lovers of the country yet another look at the soon-to-be-launched model.

The Celerio diesel was filmed by the motor buffs at GaadiWaadi, and interestingly the video also compares the engine noise and vibration of the upcoming Maruti's new diesel model with the company's Swift diesel.

From the footage, it appears like Maruti has done an impressive job to keep the engine noise of its self-developed 793 cc, 2-cylinder unit diesel in bearable limit as compared to Swift's diesel engine. From the video, we could also grasp that the noise of the new diesel engine is lower inside the cabin of Celerio diesel too.

Maruti's indigenously developed 793 cc, 2-cylinder unit diesel mill, which powers the upcoming Celerio diesel, has the capacity to dish out 47 bhp of power at 3,500 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque at 2,000 rpm. The torque figure indicated for the Celerio diesel is higher than the figures of Maruti Swift, which is powered by Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel engine, and is the lightest engine at 89kg available in the country.

With an ARAI-rated mileage of 27.62 kmpl, the new Celerio diesel will become India's most fuel efficient model; and when launched, the model will compete against the likes of Chevrolet Beat and Hyundai Grand i10.

Slated to be launched on 3 June, Maruti Celerio diesel is likely to be offered in LDi, VDi and ZDi variants; and if rumours are to be believed, the diesel model will get a sticker price of around ₹60,000-₹80,000 more than the current model.
