It is no secret that Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker is getting ready for the launch of the facelift avatar of its much popular Ertiga in India. We have been reporting extensively on this new Ertiga and now once again the model was spotted in the wild and it was caught completely undisguised.
Thanks to Gaadiwaadi for the latest spy shots. Maruti Ertiga facelift, a model that stays completely within the company's current Ertiga style, but with fresh look is expected to reach Indian showrooms in June this year.
From the images, the new Ertiga facelift wears a restyled front bumper with new triple-bar grille and chrome touch. The rear end also seemed to have got styling changes though is not clear from the picture.
Under the hood, the new facelift avatar of Ertiga is expect borrow the same engines from the current model-1.4-litre four-cylinder K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre, four-cylinder, Multijet, turbo-charged diesel engines, may be with a minor tweak in the engine to deliver better performance.
The current versions of Ertiga offer a fuel efficiency of 16.02 kmpl (petrol) and 20.77 kmpl (diesel). There have also been rumours that Ertiga facelift is also getting an automated manual transmission (AMT) with safety lock & parking gear option. However, there is no official confirmation yet in this regard.
The new Ertiga model is expected to get features like electrically adjustable and retractable Outside Rear-View Mirrors (ORVMs) and a new updated infotainment system.
