'Mariyam Mukku' Release: Audience Expectations from Fahadh Faasil Starrer

Malayalam cinema will see release of four movies on 23 January including Prithvirajs' "Picket 43", Mohanlal's "Rasam", Amala Paul's "Mili' and Fahadh Faasil's "Mariyam Mukku".

Of all, Fahadh's "Mariyam Mukku" is probably one of the most-publicised films in the list and this has raised lots of expectations among the audience.

Fahadh Faasil's Role 

Fahadh Faasil' role in the movie is claimed to be first-of-its-kind of his career. The actor will play the role of Felix, a fisherman who belongs to the seashore village of Mariyam Mukku that has a peculiar Latin culture.

As the trailer and teaser of the movie suggest, the young star is expected to go beyond his comfort zone. The teasers have shown him in a mass role where he has done some dance and action sequences.

Good Screenplay and Direction

Though "Mariyam Mukku" is the directorial debut of James Albert, the director has already proved his versatility in script writing. He has scripted some well known movies such as "Classmates", "Cycle", "Evidam Swargamanu", Venicle Vyaapari", "Jawan of Vellimala" and Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal".

With the upcoming movie, expectations are high about his directorial skills among audience. He has assured that the movie is going to be a romantic comedy entertainer and one of the best films in Fahadh's career. Will his gamble work? Well, we will have to wait for the audience's verdict.

One thing that stood strong throughout the teaser, trailer and songs is the visual of the film. The teasers of the movie have given enough glimpse of the visual treat that is waiting. The makers have been able to etch the location of the movie in audience's mind through some enchanting visuals in the trailer and teasers.

The cinematography of the movie is done by Gireesh Gangadharan who has previously handled photography for "Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi", which was popular for its visuals. Audiences are expecting the cinematographer to recreate the same magic in this flick too.

The star cast of "Matiyam Mukku" looks impressive and this has led to some high expectations with regard to their performances. James Albert has lined up a good mix of actors for the movie which includes Sana Althaf, Manoj K Jayan, Pratha Pothan, Joy Mathew, Aju Varghese, Irshad, Neeraj Madhav, Nandu, Sadiq, Sreejith Ravi, Pashanam Shajim Devi Ajith, Suja, Seema G Nair and Meena Ganesh.
