Manny Pacquiao might have hung up his gloves in April, but promoter Bob Arum is certain of the Filipino's comeback later in the year. Arum has even blocked Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as the venue for the fight, which he has tentatively scheduled for October 15th.

However, after being selected to the Philippines senate, the former boxer is busy with political affairs, serving his people in the country, something he always wanted to do. Arum is expected to travel to the Philippines soon to meet Pacquiao, and speak about the possibility of his return.

Even if he makes a comeback, one of the important questions, which remains is his potential opponent. Though boxing fans would love to see 'Fight of the Century Part II', against Floyd Mayweather, it is most likely not going to happen. Hence, other contenders doing the rounds are Terence Crawford and Adrien Broner. In the last few days, Pacquaio has been talking about a potential fight against former multiple-division champion Broner.

"I'm not sure Manny is going to return, but I believe he wants to return," Yahoo quoted Arum as saying.

"The question is, can he return and yet fulfill his duties as a senator in the Philippines? I don't think even he knows that answer yet, because he's just taken office. But I know for a fact, based on our conversations, that if he can, he is prepared to come back, and Broner is one guy we're considering."

Irrespective of the boxer Pacquaio decides to fight, the bout, if it happens, is expected to be a blockbuster, as he is one of the most popular boxers in the world.

Boxing fans will love to witness Pacquiao take on Broner as both of them are aggressive boxers, which will make the fight ever-so-entertaining. The American will also be pleased to take this fight, if it shapes up, and prove his class with the whole world watching.

The Filipino, who has had a wonderful career, with 58 wins from 66 fights, making him one of the best boxers to have graced the sport, will remain the favourite, despite his absence from the ring for a few months.
