Bangalore, Oct 24 (ANI): Legendary singer Manna Dey, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 94, has been cremated in Bangalore's Hebbal crematorium. Dey's body was taken from the hospital to cultural centre Ravindra Kalakshetra, where friends and fans paid their last respects. Dey's was taken to ICU some days ago to be treated for respiratory illness and renal failure. He has been in and out of hospital the last few months and was on dialysis in September. Manna Dey, or Prabodh Chandra Dey, who has given us some of the best songs in the classic era, has a huge fan following across the country. Among Manna Dey's best loved Hindi songs were Ek Chatur Naar from Padosan, Zindagi Kaise Hai Paheli from Anand, Ae Meri Zohrajabeen from Waqt and Yaari Hai Imaan Mera from Zanjeer. He often sang for Raj Kapoor, and formed hit partnerships with composers Salil Chowdhury and Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
