Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the nation for the 24th time in the Mann Ki Baat radio programme on Sunday. He has been delivering this periodical address around once a month since assuming power in 2014, in which he reaches out to the nation on various topics.

11:40 a.m. IST: "When Swachh Bharat campaign completes 2 years on Oct 2, I can say that 1.25 billion people of our country are more aware of cleanliness," says PM Modi.

11:38 a.m. IST: "Next week we will be celebrating Durga Puja and Navratri. These festivals are symbol of our unity, harmony and strength," PM Modi on Mann Ki Baat.

11:35 a.m. IST: "It was my endeavour that Mann Ki Baat should not talk about blame game, politics, praising Govt work," PM Modi says on Mann Ki Baat.

11:30 a.m. IST: "There is a special pleasure in giving, I observed this when I appealed people to give up LPG subsidy," says the prime minister.

11:28 a.m. IST: "I urge youth to come up with relevant startups about "Waste to Wealth" Model," says PM Modi.

11:26 a.m. IST: "You all can join the cleanliness drive on 2nd October this year. You can devote 2-4 hours for it," says PM Modi.

11:24 a.m. IST: "Wing commander Paramveer Singh swam 2800 kms, from Dev prayag to Ganga Sagar in order to spread message of cleanliness," says PM Modi while addressing the nation on Mann Ki Baat.

11:22 a.m. IST: "As part of Swachh Bharat, about 2.5 crore toilets have been constructed in rural India so far. 1.5 Cr more will be constructed in next year. Use number 1969 to know about Swachh Bharat progress. The number can also be used to request work in your area," PM Modi says while talking about the Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan.

11:17 a.m. IST: "I will never forget what Deepa Malik said after winning the medal. She said that she has defeated her disability with this medal," says PM Modi.

11:14 a.m. IST: "Our athletes have performed their best this time and brought us four medals. These medals have drawn attention and sensitivities towards people with disabilities," says PM Modi while talking about the achievements of Deepa Malik and Devendra Jhajharia at the Paralympics.

11:11 a.m. IST: "I appreciate the efforts by young Harshvardhan. He wrote to me after the attacks, said he was troubled by the attack. He said he will study three extra hours, become an ideal citizen and serve the nation. I value the anguish of our people, it is important to channelize it constructively," PM Modi says in his address.
