New Delhi, Sep 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh doubled funds for agriculture in its development plan at a time when the country is considering a drawdown on foreign exchange reserves to fund a wide current account deficit. Addressing farmers in New Delhi at an event, Singh, said on Friday that the aim of his government was to develop the the farming sector by focussing on the agro-ecological regions. Singh said that the country could challenge any nation in terms of total farm output, if the farmers get all the resources.
