Mammootty starrer "Manglish" is on a roll as the film has already earned ₹4.50 crore in a week's time in Kerala. The film, directed by Salam Bappu, was released across Kerala on 27 July and had a tremendous opening by collecting ₹3.15 crore in 5 days.

 

"Manglish," which has Mammootty and Caroline Bech in the lead was well received by the audience and evoked mixed reviews from the critics. However, the director was appreciated for bringing out a simple subject and story line as an ultimate entertainer suitable for family audiences.

"Manglish" also has a huge star cast of Tiny Tom, Jojo, Vinay Forrt, Mukundan, Sudheer Karamana, Ramu, Sathar, Ravindran, Sunil Sukhadha, Sasi Kalinga, Kalabhavan Rahman, Chembil Ashokan, Sudhi, Kalabhavan Haneef, Aneesh G Menon, Vishnu Ravindran, Kuriakose, Gopalakrishnan, Shrinda Ashab, Shreedhani, Parvathy Menon, Nimarose, Silu Abraham and Pauly in pivotal roles.

The story, screenplay and dialogues of the Mammootty starrer are done by Riyas and Pradheesh Varma handles the camera. The lyrics are penned by Hari Narayanan and Santhosh Varma. The film is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner of Red Rose creations.

As per the latest reports from the industry, "Vikramadithyan" is still leading the race among the Eid releases (figures not revealed yet), followed by Dileep's "Avatharam" that grossed ₹4 crores in 4 days. Check "Avatharam" Box office report here

All the Eid releases except Jean Paul Lal's "Hi I am Tony" are doing well in the box office and are heading successfully into the second week. But the fate of these films will be decided in the coming week with the new releases "Apothecary" and "Njan Steve Lopez."

"Apothecary" and "Njan Steve Lopez" will be released on 7 and 8 August respectively. Both these films have high expectations in terms of its star casts and the directorial value.

"Apothecary" is directed by Madhav Ramadasan of "Melvilasam" (2011) fame and has Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya, Asif Ali, Abhirami and Meera Nandan in the lead.

"Njan Steve Lopez," directed by cinematographer-director Rajeev Ravi has debutants Farhaan Faasil (son of film maker Fazil and brother of actor Fahadh Faasil) and Ahaana Krishnakumar (daughter of actor Krishnakumar) in the lead.
